Another expedition from a Scripture Union camp based in Glen Etive. It was a perect day - warm, clear, no wind. Unfortunately - no photos! On my previous climb (Bidean), I had fely that I was so intent on getting good photographs that I was missing the enjoyment of the views, so I made up my mind to leave the camera behind. I have regretted that decision since, and now ALWAYS carry my camera, no matter how unpromising the weather. It was a superb walk. In my diary, I describe it as a mixture of exhilaration and terror! We fololowed the usual route up to Am Bodach, and then the fun began. The trickiest section at the very start, with a tricky move to get on to the ridge. From there on, a series of scrambles up and down, with superb exposure on either side, and no way off but to keep going. Sadly, all good things come to an end - and all too soon, it was time for the gruelling descent down to the Clachaig Inn. Must return some day with camera! |
