The whole family having climbed Quinag on the previous day, none of them wanted to join me, but Gair Couston, a friend we had met on the campsite at Achmelvich was keen to go. We set off early, and hoped that the cloud base would rise as we walked in from Inchnadamph. However, it remained persistently low at around 900 - 1000m. A very enjoyable walk along very rough ridges - a big contrast to my previous Munros at Drumochter. Rain came on a bit as we crossed the top of Ben More, but didn't last long. A very steep and difficult scramble down to the valley from the ridge beyond the South top, then a long walk out back to Inchnadamph.
