This was a very early climb. I was a leader at a Scripture Union camp based in Glen Etive. Each day, different groups set out to climb a nearby mountain.

We set off from Achintee up the "tourist track" at 11pm. As it was mid-summer, we could pick our way fairly easily, except for about half an hour between midnight and 1am. We reached the summit at around 3.30am, then watched the sun rise at 4.35am. Beautiful colours with mist lingering in the valleys below us. Enjoyed the surprised faces of early morning climbers on their way up as we headed back down!
