A group of us from Chronicles, the student / young adult group from Mayfield Parish Church in Edinburgh were spending the Victoria holiday weekend at Aberfeldy. The weather was good, and we had 2 good days on the hills. On Saturday we climbed Ben Lawers, on Sunday we were leading the service at Aberfeldy so were limited to a walk up the birks, and on Monday some of us climbed Schihallion.

It's a long time ago, and I don't have any detailed notes, and only 1 photo. We all set out from the visitor centre, up the main path (much improved since), and over beinn Ghlas to the summit of Ben Lawers - Scotland's 10th highest mountain. The summit cairn was pretty busy. Some of our group returned by the same route, which meant that they were able to drive round to Lawers village to pick us up at the end of the traverse.

It was hot and hazy, so the views were disappointing. I don't remember much detail, so will have to return some time!
