The second climb of a three day break with Iain based at Loch Lochy Youth Hostel. On the way up, we climbed Geal Charn at Drumochter - one of life's wetter experiences(!) - then cycled on the next day. We set off hoping for a reasonable day on Meall na Teanga and Sron a' Choire Ghairbh. We cycled across Laggan Locks and left the bikes at Kilfinnan farm (could have cycled further along the loch side, but the intent was to return along the ridge of Sron a' Choire Ghairbh). We made good speed along the forest road high above Loch Lochy, then turned up the steep path between the two mountains. Weather was warm but overcast, and we were hopeful that the cloud would lift off the hilltops before we got there. Unfortunately, it was not to be. At the top of the path, the wind was howling, throwing horizontal rain at us - not pleasant! A quick climb up Meall na Teanga (no view) then back down. It didn't take long to decide to abandon Sron a' Choire Ghairbh for another day. Back down the same path, and along the lochside to pick up the bikes at Kilfinnan.
